To EVERYONE who has donated to help support Oreo - THANK YOU!
He is recovering well, stitches were taken out this past Thursday.
He is already much happier without the pain and pressure of that bad eye!
Should be delivered to his new home at Helping Horses in NC later this week!

Oreo was supposed to be delivered tomorrow to his new home as a Therapeudic Riding Mount in Raleigh NC with HELPING HORSES...However, when RCAR picked up Oreo from his temporary summer home it was apparent that his eye has dramatically increased in need.  Oreo NEEDS SURGERY ASAP!  He has already adjusted to the loss of site in this eye but the globe is enlarged/swollen and he is in pain!  This eye needs to be removed!

With the number of facebook fans and email contacts we have - if we received $5 from everyone it would cover his surgery and post-op care!

We need EACH of YOU to donate $5!!  Lets get this rolling and start raising the funds for his surgery!

This sweet and cute guy is needing a home asap!  He was basically left at the boarding barn recently.  He is an appaloosa gelding standing about 15 hh and is approximately 10 years old.   He does have sight limitation in his right eye but is well adjusted and you would hardly know.  He is probably limited to light/leisure riding due to an enlarged hind ankel that may have some beginning arthritis.  He was previously used as a Therapeudic Horse and Trail Mount but the last year or so primarily as a companion, though at the barn has done a couple walk/trot lessons this month.  Oreo is very sweet, gentle, easy to catch, gets along well with others etc.  Lets network and get this guy a home where is is wanted and loved!
